Pressure variation absorbing apparatus (10) is mounted adjacent to a moving fluid stream in the diffuser (14) of a centrifugal compressor for absorbing both acoustic and aerodynamic pressure variations. The absorbing apparatus (10) when mounted as a part of the diffuser wall of a centrifugal compressor not only reduces acoustic noise but also absorbs aerodynamic pressure variations increasing the efficiency of the compressor and simultaneously reducing the rate of flow at which surge occurs thereby enlarging the operational flow range of the compressor. The invention relates to compressor building, which is intended for damping acoustic, aerodynamic, and combinations of acoustic and aerodynamic oscillations or pulsations of fluid flow, in particular to centrifugal compressors for compressible fluid. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the noise level of the lowest frequency. FIG. 1 shows a centrifugal compressor, a cross-section; in fig. 2, node I in FIG. one; in FIG. 3, section A-A in FIG. 1. The centrifugal compressor for compressible fluid comprises a housing 1 and an impeller 2 arranged in it successively in the course of the flow of compressible fluid, a radial annular diffuser 3 formed by the walls of the housing 1, and in the latter one chamber 4 is made, at least, connected to the flow in the diffuser 3, and the collector ring collector 5. At the same time, the depth b of the chamber 4 is equal to 1/4 of the length f of the latter and is filled with a porous material forming the part of the side wall of the diffuser 3. The chamber 4 with the help of a multitude of concentric annular plates 6 divided into a number of individual cavities. The chamber also contains a spiral plate 7 and blocking elements 8 installed between the turns of the plate 7. When running, the C1 part of the flow enters the impeller 2 of the compressor, then the radial ring diffuser 3, the chamber 4, from where it goes to the collecting ring collector 5 and further to the consumer . The presence of a chamber 4 filled with a porous material allows the damping of aerodynamic pressure fluctuations and, therefore, reduce noise emitted during compressor operation. The porous material for chamber 4 is chosen so that it absorbs or attenuates all frequencies that are higher than the frequency for which the cavity is intended. Separating chamber 4 by concentric annular plates 6 into a number of individual cavities or supplying chambers 4 spiral plate 7 and blocking elements 8 installed between the turns of the plate 7, prevents the flow of fluid to the impeller, i.e. in the opposite direction, thereby increasing the efficiency of the compressor. inLl FIG.

Claims (3) [1] 1. A CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR FOR A COMPRESSIBLE FLUID, comprising a housing and an impeller located in it in series with the flow of a compressible fluid, a radial ring diffuser formed by the walls of the housing, the latter having at least one chamber connected to the flow in the diffuser, and a prefabricated ring collector, characterized in that, in order to reduce the noise level of the lowest frequency, the depth of the chamber is equal to 1/4 of its length and is filled with porous material forming part of the back wall of the diffuser. [2] 2. A compressor according to claim 1, characterized in that the chamber is divided into a number of separate cavities by means of a plurality of concentric annular plates. [3] 3.
